Homework

Teachers will set homework activities which may include:-
finding out information/researching
reading in preparation for lesson
preparing answers for oral feedback in lessons
traditional tasks e.g. learning tables and spelling, reading stories, word level work.

Homework should be seen as a valuable contribution towards a child's progress - an opportunity for quality time between parent and child, sharing their learning experiences and cementing the home-school relationship. Any written work should not be onerous for the child to do. It should not lead to a stressful time where the enjoyment of learning is lost and there are conflicts between child/parent/teacher and learning/teaching methods.
